FPL Season 2025 / 2026 Game Week 2: The Quest for Glory (or Just More Regret)

 

                Hello FPL Enthusiasts,

 

        48 points with captain Salah scoring one goal and earning one bonus point in a slow start for game week 1. Four players delivered returns with the captain. Van de Ven secured a clean sheet, Van Dijk gained two new defcon points, and Reijnders contributed with one goal and one assist.

        The new FPL season didn't start well. Salah was the team's hero, while Reijnders performed brilliantly. Verbruggen was unfortunate with a last-minute goal, and although Wirtz didn't score among the four goals, he still shows promise. I plan to save my free transfer for this game week. Below is my team lineup before making any transfers.

        It's the second Friday deadline, and I've noticed many wildcards and free transfers being used. I don't want to rush, so I'll review my team again this week. After that, with two transfers (hopefully no injuries), I'll make my decision. I've placed Esteve as a starter because of Van de Ven's fixture. Salah is my captain 😀, and Palmer is the vice-captain for now. The captaincy could easily switch to Watkins. Let's see.
